Week 1 Tasks - Mashup, Single Point Perspectives and Terrain

Mash up

In the building world, modern architecture typically takes precedence over the natural environment. This however, is slowly becoming a thing of the past as architects find innovative ways of incorporating or promoting the natural environment as much as the built. These robust and imposing buildings not only have an explicit structural expression, but they are inventively designed for new uses. An emphasis on basic structure and candidly expressed materials and finishes help create a synergy between nature and the built environment. The robust and imposing buildings not only have an explicit structural expression, they were inventively designed to cater for different uses and audiences. Interior spaces often introduces large ceremonial spaceswhere emphasis was placed on professional entrances and often cavernous, internal reception areas. Generally brutalist commercial and civic are generally large-scale that consistently used outsized building and frankly expressed building elements.

Cryengin Adaptation

These photos have been taken from the characters perspective. The sheer scale of the site is very exciting. I am trying to add different rock colours to portions of the mine, to achieve the layered sedimentary rocks.
